Congratulations to Year 7 winners!

On Tuesday 25th January Mrs Allfrey, Mr David and Mrs Booth spent a considerable amount of time judging the terrific Year 7 designs for a ‘Win Green’ style play tent. The children were asked to design a fabric play house which would appeal to both small children and parents. The design had to be economically viable and original - no Star Wars or Disney copies! Standards were high and after a lot of deliberating 19 children were shortlisted. Congratulations go to ALL the children in Year 7. First prize was awarded jointly to Tilly Johnson (7M) and William Hale (7R). Tilly and William will have their designs taken to India where they will be made up as fabric appliqued play tents and then shipped back to the UK. Tilly and Will are also 'Artists of the Week' this week, so well done to them both! A very close second was awarded to Roxanne Kidney (7W) who will receive an overnight bag, bunting and art materials. Runners-up were Isabelle Skeet, Imogen Davies, Lottie Payne, Cass Doig and Harry Lycett. The runners-up will receive an overnight bag. Special mention must also go to the following children who were shortlisted: Dan Saligari, Isabella Lynn, Tilly Neville, Emma Bristow, Ben West, Theo Mayor, Harry Busby, Sophia Rhodes, Patrick Cook, Will Deane and Dan Mullis. Many thanks to the judges and particularly to Mrs Allfrey for organising such a fantastic opportunity for our Year 7 children.
