What a wonderful, colourful morning on Saturday for the whole school Open Morning. With displays of art and project work in every classroom, and activities from tug of war to boules, there was something for everyone. Well done to all the children who worked so hard performing, country dancing and acting as tour guides. Our British cafe was particularly busy, with Year 7 waiters kept on their toes serving families and friends delicious morsels throughout the morning.
Our Alumni cricket match v current 1st XI was played in tremendous spirit despite mid-morning showers, with the Alumni taking the honours for the first time ever this year. The mighty Alumni Rounders team had a very entertaining morning v the current 1st Rounders side, with the girls winning the match despite the very best efforts of the Alumni. Our Alumni drinks reception was very much enjoyed by all, and we were delighted that one of our very first pupils (1939) was able to join us.
Musical performances included country dancing in Nash House, String Orchestra and Recorders in Little Stream, Jazz band in the dining room and Year 5 & 6 Choirs. Drama presentations and Shakespeare in the Rose Garden kept everyone entertained, and there was plenty of others things to do from decorating a cake to lighting a fire.
