Community Links

Cranbrook Windmill:

Although DCPS is situated just outside Cranbrook town, every effort is made to foster links with the local community.  Sports matches are played against the local primary schools, the school sports facilities are used by Cranbrook town for cricket and football, free of charge.

Musical groups from the school visit the elderly and disabled in the area, usually at Christmas time, to sing and play for them.  Our annual Carol Service is held in Cranbrook Church, where we have also performed a Proms Concert, together with the Sussex Brass Band.  Over half of our leavers move on to Cranbrook School, and there are biennial meetings with Cranbrook School staff.  We encourage pupils from local senior schools to come to DCPS on work experience.

In the Autumn Term, we organised a F ootball Festival at DCPS with local primary and prep schools which was a great success and we hope will involve even more schools next year.
