Welcome to Nash House

nh Mrs Bradley:
Mrs. Ali Bradley
Head of Nash House

Nash House is the Nursery/Infant department and has one hundred children aged from three to six. We have one Nursery class, two reception classes and two Year 1 classes. There are nine teachers and seven assistants.

Children are taught a broad curriculum with a central emphasis on the basic skills of reading, writing and numeracy. Music and P.E. are taught by specialist teachers.

We feel it is important to ensure that both children and parents are familiar with Nash House before they start with us, so we arrange visits in the Summer term prior to entry and hold an information evening for parents. We have an open-house policy and hope that parents will always feel that they can come and talk to us. There are many organized events, when parents can watch P.E. and music lessons, see the class teaching in action and hear the children explain what they are learning, but parents are welcome at any time.

We feel that our main role is to help all children realize that learning is fun and something that they can all do. If we achieve that, we have set them on the right path for a happy future.
