Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed a lovely sunny day in Lille last Wednesday. After lunch in a ‘boulangerie’, they stopped passers-by and successfully carried out questionnaires they had devised themselves. They are now working on their Lille projects in their French lessons.

Year 6 have been writing letters to their French pen-pals who attend the Ecole St Louis in Pontoise.  In May next year, the pen-pals will visit DCPS for a day when Year 6 can spend time getting to know them better.

The Upper School French Department have been running a Recipe Competition. Children were asked to bring in a French recipe to earn one quarter good or a recipe in French for two quarter goods. Annie Toynbee (5JW) went one better and made her recipe for 'Gateau au chocolat avec des souris'. It was delicious and much appreciated by the other members of 5JW!
