The children are tested at the end of Key Stage 2 and the papers marked externally. In addition to this, Years 5 to 8 follow the Common Entrance syllabus which mirrors the National Curriculum to prepare them for entry to Public Schools by Common Entrance or by a scholarship. In Nash House, the science is taught by the class teacher and assistant in the classroom. In Lower School, the teaching takes place in a fully-equipped laboratory by a science specialist. The Upper School teaching takes place in two modern, extensively-equipped laboratories by three specialist science teachers assisted by a laboratory technician.
