Please post a message below before you leave our site and let us know which year you left DCPS. Latest messages: I left Coursehorn Deerfeet in 1975 aged 10, just after and would be delighted to hear from anyone from my year with news. This yea included Andie Lysinger, Tim Danin, Matt Dennis, Toby Martin, etc. I now liv in Barnes , West London and own a travel company. It has been more than ten years - I am still so proud of being part of this. Thank you - I would like to hear from any of my old friends. Juan Carlos Ambrosi 1995 jambrher@grupobimbo.com I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2004 with a 2:1 in Primary Education. I now teach Years 2, 3 & 4 in a small school in the Cotswolds. Jennifer Wickham 1988 jennywickham@hotmail.com Shortly after my mother died I Jimmy Nason was sent from DCPS Dulwich to Coursehorn as a boarder and Chippeway in the very bad winter of January 1963. I left in July 1965 back to Dulwich. The staff I remember most vividly are John Leakey, Miss Dickson, Miss Glazier (matron),the Rev. Oldaker (W.H.O), Mr. Guy, Peter Parker-Smith, Mr Davidson, Monsieur Marquaire terrifying French lessons, often hijacked by Mr. Leakey and turned into general knowledge sessions, Miss Gibson, Miss Brennan, Mr. Peverett, Mrs. Baxter, Mr. Goodyer, and Mr. Terry. Things I remember most vividly include the long glass-roofed corridor with our classrooms either side, cubs with Mrs. Leakey (Arkela), learning how to light a fire and cook sausages on a stick with Mr. Leakey for a cubs badge, good and bad slips visiting the Roman villa at Lullingstone playing in the sandbanks, 16mm films shown by Mr. Vickerey, Sunday afternoon walks to Angley Woods where we spent hours trying to dam up a small stream hobbies exhibitions, aertex shirts, boiler-suits and windcheaters, the raising of the sliding cupboard door for the distribution of tuck after supper, and Ms. Glazier forcing cod-liver-oil pills down our throats just before going to bed. Contemporaries I can remember include Auston, Fison, Beresford, Ian Douglas, Rupert Croysdill, Oliver Stobbs. Several boys had lived abroad, including Cave (Kenya), Field (Solomon Islands), Woodruff (Philippines), Harris (Egypt), Greig (Tanganiyka). I would be delighted to hear from anybody who recognises some of the above. James Nason james.nason@sba.ch In reply to Chris Roberts, the other tribes were Ojibwas, Deerfeet and Chippaways. I was there for 7 years, leaving n1963. My long term memory is still good at and still remember a lot of the old staff %28Sarah Brennan, Monsieur Marquaire, Miss Dixon, Mr Guy, Peter Parker-Smith, Miss Glazier - Bones to the staff - Mr J B Maclean and Mr Leakey. After leaving in 1963 I went to Bethany, was introduced to printing and have been in the business ever since. Brian Martin brian_martin@lineone.net My name is Stephen Yates and I was at Coursehorn from 1962 to 1965. I remember many of our teachers at that time, namely Miss Dixon, who was my form teacher in one of those years, and her dachsund Monty - he came into the class and sat under the desk sometimes, Mr Parker Smith, who I think taught History, Mr Davison, the Geography teacher from Australia, and Mr Peverett, who was another form teacher, taught me English and later succeeded Mr Leakey as Head. I still remember taking part in a Christmas show, with Mr Guy, the Maths teacher, directing. My memory might be failing me but I think there was a 'Remove' class at Coursehorn - can anyone confirm this? I can only remember a few of my classmates at that time, one being Nicholas Vinehill, whose parents ran the Star & Eagle pub in Goudhurst. Does anyone know where Nicholas is now? Please get in touch with me at s.yates@chaucercollege.co.uk. Stephen Yates Left in 54 so I am one of the old-stagers. I was a Mohican. who remembers what the other tribes were? Nice idea. Sad it was replaced. Mr Maclean was head in those days. Chris Roberts Ctroberts2@btinternet.com I was a boarder at school for three to four years before going on to Brightlands in London. I remember Mr Leakey, the Headmaster and Miss Glazier, the Matron - does anyone remember that long ago - I would love to hear from you. Michael Edwards s.edwards1173@comcast.net I started at the school in 1965 at Little Stream and was at Coursehorn until about 1970 when I left for Ireland. I am now living in Barnes, London, with my family and working as a couple therapist. I would like to hear from James Saville, Simon Stovell or Paul Anderson. All the best to everyone.
