FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Summer Swimming. Swim, play tennis and play at Dulwich Prep through the summer holidays! Family tickets only £80 (available to all current and future families). Application forms available from the School Office or click the Summer Swimming link to download.
Please read details regarding the regulations and contact details if there are problems with the facilities over the summer on the link above.
Sunday 12th September..... Frends of DCPS Dragon Boat Race at Bewl Water. Please come and support our team. It is a great day out for families and we hope to see lots of you there!
Sunday 26th September..... Friends of DCPS Walk and Tea! This is always a well-supported event and a great opportunity for us to welcome new parents to Dulwich. The afternoon starts with a short walk on a marked route and is followed by a delicious tea and the chance to chat with other families.
Friday 5th November ..... Friends of DCPS Fireworks Evening. This is a very popular annual event, a favourite with the children.

Friday 19th November ..... Christmas Fair. Our new annual event will be held in Upper School in the afternoon. Please contact friends@dcpskent.org if you would like to book a stall.


Glorious weather at the Dulwich Summer Festival	Children enjoy the Teddy Bears Picnic

PAST EVENTS

DULWICH SUMMER FESTIVAL - What a fantastic evening was had by all at the Festival. With glorious weather, great music and food this was a terrific event. 400 revellers made the most of this fine event. Many thanks to Susan Barone and Heidi Sommerville for master-minding this huge and very successful event.

FRIENDS OF DCPS CHARITY CAR WASH - The Car Wash was a great success and raised £251 for CLIC Sargent. Many thanks to Jenny Callan who provided all the car wash products. Year 8 had a great, if wet, time washing cars! Thanks to all the willing volunteers for helping.

FRIENDS OF DCPS 'Krispy Krene' DOUGHNUT DAY IN AID OF CLIC SARGENT - This event raised £638.22 for the CLIC Sargent Charity.

FRIENDS OF DCPS NASH HOUSE TEDDY BEARS' PICNIC - Huge thanks to Sarah Watts, Laura Michie, Gabby Clarke and Julie Allison for organising a fantastic Teddy Bears' Picnic - it was truly magical for the children to walk through the woods and spy their own bears hiding in the trees or having tea on a picnic blanket. Also thank you to all the mummies who helped with the face painting and serving tea. It was a lovely afternoon.

FRIENDS OF DCPS CHARITY BOOT FAIR - A hugely successful event, which enjoyed fine weather and plenty of trading on the school grounds.

24 HOUR SWIMATHON - raised a total of £5,599,96 in sponsorship money. The total split between the two charities is as follows: Lawrence's Roundabout Well Appeal - £2,663.39, CLIC Sargent - £2,936.57. The figures do not include Gift Aid so the charities will actually receive more than this. All the children participated in the swimathon during the day and some stalwart parents kept the swimming going through the small hours and overnight! Well done to everyone involved in this fantastic effort. There are photos of the event on the school noticeboard section of the DCPS website.

FAMILY TENNIS TOURNAMENT - A very keen group of parents made this event very rewarding, with some expert action on the courts supported by plenty of refreshment during the day.

YEARS 5 & 6 FIZZ AND QUIZ EVENING - A hugely enjoyable evening with great participation from everyone that attended. Nearly £200 was raised from this event.

HORRIBLE SCIENCE - Over forty people attended this live science show at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells. The show was a mixture of theatre and 3D cinema and captivated everyone from start to finish.

YEARS 1 & 2 DISCO - A brilliant disco for the younger children in Little Stream, plenty of music, lights, face painting and interesting dance moves! Many thanks to Annabel Preston and Sarah Watts for organising a fantastic disco for the children!

FRIENDS OF DCPS FASHION SHOW in aid of Kent Air Ambulance - A enormous thank you to Suzi Hinge for masterminding the hugely successful Fashion Show in conjunction with The Find in Cranbrook, held in the John Leakey Hall. Wendy from The Find choreographed a very professinoal show and the excellent models included some of our own Mums and two members of the Air Ambulance team!

YEARS 7 & 8 FIZZ AND QUIZ EVENING - This was a brilliant evening with some excellent fancy dress combined with 'funky hair'.

FRIENDS OF DCPS CHRISTMAS GIFT FAIR - This event got everyone off to a great start with their Christmas Shopping whilst also raising money for the Kent Air Ambulance.

FIREWORKS - This annual event was a big success for DCPS families and staff. Hot Dogs, Mulled Wine and Candy Floss were in abundance as the bonfire kept children and adults warm ahead of a fantastic fireworks display!

FRIENDS OF DCPS AGM AND CURRY SOCIAL EVENING - This was well attended by parents and staff, who enjoyed a delicious curry in between the AGM and regular meeting. The Headmaster recognised the significant contribution everyone made to the Friends' activities over the last year.

FRIENDS OF DCPS QUIZ EVENING - Many thanks to Alison Nicholls for masterminding the Parents' Quiz Evening. The evening was a great success and very well-attended. The fish and chip supper was delicious and the questions fun but challenging - what IS the name of the smallest teletubbie?

DUCK RACE AND TEA - Many thanks to the McNaughton family for hosting this event which was a great success. It was a lovely day with about 100 in attendance. This event raised £300 for the Kent Air Ambulance.
