Year 2

In the Games lesson, Year 2 staged the 2010 Spring Olympics at DCPS!

It was an inter tribe Olympics and some of the events consisted of Chariot racing (using a skipping rope), the javelin(using a whizz ball), running and the long jump.

We had a fantastic afternoon as you can tell by our lovely photos!

Year Two have been studying the Ancient Egyptians this term. We decided that it would be brilliant fun to try and mummify two of us and here are the results! (We did put them back together in the right order afterwards though!)

On 26th November 1922, Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings. On 26th November 2009, Year 2 discovered the same tomb in Little Stream!

The Year 2 children were fantastic in their Nativity Play - the acting and singing was brilliant!
