 | | | Visitors from Eagle Heights expained the scientific term 'adaptation' to us. We were able to see how different birds were adapted to their own habitat and lifestyle. | Usifu Jalloh came in and led three wonderfully inspirational drumming workshops for Year 3, following on from the success of his visit in Arts Week. | | We are always hugely grateful to the parents who help us prepare for school productions. Their skills encompass backdrop design and painting, costume making and face painting. Here the children are enjoying a busy day of art work masterminded by Nancy Nicholson, a local artist, and a band of brave, helpful Mums. The Mums are rewarded by a slap up school lunch! |
An exhibition of exciting light experiments visited Lower School. DCPS children as well as some from local primaries enjoyed the opportunity of having some hands on experience.

Year 3 enjoyed a visit from a Roman Legionary and his wife. Dressing was clearly not a simple matter!
Some Anglo Saxons invaded Year 4 for the day and taught many new skills.

Nigel Hinton, author of the Beaver Towers books entertained us by explaining how he got ideas for stories and how he gets inside a character's head to explain how they are feeling. Mr Stupid and Mr Sensible seemed to be fighting inside him! We have regular visits from the Kent Fire Brigade, to ensure that we know what to do in an emergency.
