ICT in the Curriculum

Using the technology within a subject context develops ICT skills and concepts in a more meaningful way for the pupils. This can mean providing children in Nash House with the opportunity to draw their own house using the tools in a computer drawing application, or providing Year 8 pupils with tools such as "Word" and "Excel 2000" to enable them to develop work for a Geography field work project.

Whatever the age of the pupil, the use of ICT is designed to be relevant to that age and ability. Placing ICT in a subject context removes the technology focus and encourages both boys and girls to explore ICT in a positive way.
